Gitana Winery – We feel connected to Romania in many ways

  • by

What were your experiences when you first arrived in Romania? What was the process to gain access to Romania? Romanian market?

I was extremely excited about my visit to Romania in the first place due to the fact that it’s an interesting market, that is growing and also because it’s an extremely important market for us, the Moldovan people. Moldovans are keen to establish contacts with Romania and feel as if returning home after an extended trip. We are connected to Romania in numerous ways, but perhaps foremost in terms of tradition and cultural aspects. It is becoming more and more knowledgeable connoisseurs of high-end wines from Romania and people who have a good understanding of the most prestigious international brands and seek fresh flavors, unique blends and regions that have a distinct personality and character, like Moldovan wine. Moldovan wine.

In response to your query, initially it was simple for me to enter in the marketplace. After I broadened sales actions and also the execution of the plan itself began, I realized that it was not as easy and I faced lots of issues. However, I’m not easily scared and, when I make a decision to take action I complete it. But, there aren’t markets that are easy to approach every one of them has its particular.

It is thought of as a place for males. For instance in Romania only 5percent of the industry of wine belongs to women. What do you think of the world?

I have never was overwhelmed by the man-focused world. I believe that the skills of women and flexibility, as well as the more profound way we look at things, are consistent advantages. We mostly work with men on the staff at Gitana Winery (the winemaker, the viticulturist, and the oenologist) and the proprietor of this winery male. I’m very comfortable working with men. I don’t believe that things are separated as such: worlds for women and men, careers that are for women as well as professions for males. It is my belief that all is about equilibrium. The family business would not be able to exist without my father’s determination and determination We wouldn’t have been able to fight without my mother’s determination and ability to hold us together and the company wouldn’t be as successful without the new ideas and innovation brought by both my sisters and me.

What inspired you to choose to go with the title “Gitana Winery”?

The village name in which the winery is situated can be described as Tiganca (Gipsy Woman – e.n. ) The winery was named the same as Vinaria Tiganca (Tiganca Winery – e.n.). Because we believe that tradition and values are essential, we’ve chosen to use the originality and knowledge in the hands of the Argentinian designer who looked at the history of the winery as well as the advantages that an international brand could provide an original image to be recognized by all regardless of country of the source. So we made a change: Vinaria Tigancabecame Gitana Winery. The brand was redesigned to make it suitable for export and international competition, but without compromising our brand’s identity or the source of our brand.

What is the role that you would like to fill in the universe of wine?

I’m not imagining having an award-winning wine or increase production. Our wine’s quality are backed by the public who search for us and who are interested in our wines and can’t wait for the release of our next wine to the market. Additionally, I’m not planning of reaching 10 million bottles because we’d lose control of the quality of our wine and the old technologies we utilize. In addition, the high top quality and quality of the wine we produce is influenced precisely due to the local character of the terroir which God gave us the region of the hills of Moldova, surrounded with the Prut meadow and the pressure that of Black Sea. After we have restored the winery, I would want to receive the funds needed to expand the tourism area to the agricultural. I would like to be a part of the sector and have the winery filled with those who are interested in learning about the history and the wines we produce using the traditional method.

In which markets is the Gitana brand represented?

We are selling Gitana wine through the Moldovan market, which is located in Romania and are now beginning expanding our business in Poland. We are a little present across Europe particularly the regions of Switzerland and Italy and also across Japan, the USA as well as Japan.

Where do those who want to get to know you better, or know more about the Gitana wines, locate you?

We established our office in Bucharest just a year ago and we also sell our wine through major chains such as Mega Image, Sellgros and Cora. You can also see our middle-range wines. The most expensive ranges are sold in restaurants and wine shops They are close to 50 throughout the country. Soon, we’ll be as well at Carrefour as well as Auchan.

Every Gitana wine tells an interesting story. What is the story behind the wine Autograf that was that was released in the year?

It’s true that we have a common goal in our family Everyone has an opinion of their own. Sometimes, we do not like each other but other times, we get the solution quickly. We thought of creating an entire series that represents the individual’s character. Every family member has put their name in the wine that he has signed as the thing that makes him feel most. When we were working on the labels and promote texts, and then when each of us was required to sign our names when we looked over the labels, we noticed that we did not speak about our individuality and only about the strength of our family and the bond we share. Thus, even though “Autograf” could have been the name of a four-wine series each featuring a distinct writer, at the end, it’s an entire family collection, where we view wine as a binder one thing that connects us, and tells the history of our family as well as love for wine.

Are you anxious when you go to events where you are presenting your winery or wines? What do you feel like when people approach you to inquire about specific questions about your wines?

I talk very naturally about our wines. I do not plan my wine beforehand, as they are a part of me. I am aware of each step and component that formed part of their development. I’m not one to talk about other wines in any way, not because I do not like the wines of others, but because to my taste, wines are that is very personal to me. I’m delighted that people will look me up at events and inform me that our wine was a nice surprise. I’m always sending these thoughts to people at home as I am constantly surrounded by people’s opinions. However, my parents are extremely busy because they are employed at the winery and have to feed on the joy of people, brought on by the wine they are making with their hands.

What would a family night look at the time you meet at home in your home in the Republic of Moldova?

Tradition-wise Our family is more influenced by Bulgarian influence in comparison to Moldovan and Russian ones. In the first place, the structure of our family is more matriarchal. A woman plays a significant role to our families. I believe that dining together is what brings us closer as it is the norm in all families We share meals, which usually is a social event. We share with each other what we’ve done in the past, what our plans are and what issues we’ve faced, and we offer advice to each other on how to solve them. The morning gathering, usually at the coffee bar, is now a real planning gatherings. We have harmony in our family. We talk often, but we also respect each other’s limitations and views.
